THE VINODABERE GUIDES:

Italy's Best Pinot Noir 2024

When Vinodabere decided to produce the guide to Italian Pinot Noir, of which this is the second edition, it was a gamble and a challenge. It was the first guide dedicated to a single variety and, above all, the first nationwide, after all the others designed to specifically showcase a region and somehow extricate it from any residual marginalization it might still suffer from.

A total of 160 samples arrived from practically all over Italy (almost the entire peninsula now produces Pinot Noir) committed to taking on what is supposedly one of the most complicated challenges.

EMOTIONS FROM THE WORLD

The International Wine Competition “Emotions from the World of Merlot and Cabernet Together” was born following a series of meetings dedicated to the Bordeaux Blend in the Bergamo production area, held in Bergamo during 2004. 2005 The first edition of the International Wine Competition "Emotions from the World of Merlot and Cabernet Together" was held. To ensure the utmost seriousness and reliability of the International Wine Competition, a partner of excellence was sought to support the Consorzio Tutela Valcalepio and Vignaioli Bergamaschi in managing the event. The Centro Studi Assaggiatori of Brescia was selected and, from that moment on, has been responsible for supervising and certifying tasting activities during the International Wine Competition.

The competition also benefits from the support and collaboration of the Catholic University of Piacenza.

In past editions, the "Emozioni dal Mondo Merlot e Cabernet Insieme" International Wine Competition has been recognized as the wine competition with the highest ratio of judges to samples tasted. Furthermore, since its first edition, the organizing committee has emphasized the internationality of both the judges and the samples, seeking to involve as many countries as possible in the tastings.
