MUNDUS VINI

MUNDUS VINI was founded by Meininger Verlag and was one of the most important wine competitions in the world.

The more than 11,000 wines presented each year show the importance of this competition in Germany and around the world. Everywhere in the world, wines can be found in trade and gastronomy, which have been awarded by MUNDUS VINI.

A qualified international jury made up of oenologists, winemakers, specialist retailers, sommeliers and journalists from the sector will taste the wines, sparkling wines and liqueur wines as part of an anonymous bottle tasting.

The wines will be divided according to the product category, the origin, the quality category and the taste characteristics and evaluated according to the international evaluation method of 100 points of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), also recognized by the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE).

EMOZIONI DAL MONDO

The International Wine Competition "Emotions from the World Merlot and Cabernet Together" was born following a series of meetings dedicated to the Bordeaux blend in the Bergamo production reality, held in Bergamo in 2004. In 2005 the first edition of the International Wine Competition "Emotions from the World Merlot and Cabernet Together" takes place. In order to guarantee the utmost seriousness and reliability of the International Wine Competition, an excellent partner is sought, able to support the Valcalepio Protection Consortium and Bergamaschi winemakers in managing the event. The Taster Study Center of Bresciawhich, from that moment on, is in charge of the supervision and certification of the tasting activities during the International Wine Competition.

Furthermore, the Competition can count on the support and collaboration of Catholic University of Piacenza.

During the past editions, the International Wine Competition “Emotions from the World Merlot and Cabernet Together” was recognized as the Wine Competition with the highest numerical ratio between judges and tasted samples. Furthermore, since the first edition, the organizing committee has aimed at the internationality of both judges and champions, in an attempt to involve as many countries as possible in the tastings.
